Homeschool Planner Giveaway

Updated: Congratulations to Cristy for winning the Planners! Yay! I know you will enjoy them ;<) Email me at teaguesthree@yahoo.com and I will send your info to the TOS Planner folks.

I am probably the last person you expected to host a Giveaway for Homeschool Planner. Planner Splanner! Believe it or not, my planner was my best friend when I taught school and/or (sometimes both) I was in college. But, in the past few years I have been living by the seat of my stretchy pants. Throwing caution (and sometimes my sanity) to the wind so to say.

Sure. I’ve tried to plan our homeschool day down to the very minute. I wind up spending more time on the plan than I do on the actual activity. I start getting all weird about how “cute” my planner looks. Then I think. What if I change direction? What if all I am planning doesn’t work out? Can I handle it if I miss something in the planner? Then I start reaching for the chocolate and you know what that means.

Unfortunately, my very piece of mind is depending on a little structure right now. If I’ve learned anything in the past year through my almost 80 pound weight loss is that I need a little (structure) in my life. I need to be prepared to be successful. And this extends to all areas of my life. Flying by the seat of my stretchy pants is not working out so great.

So I started something this week I’ve not done in a while. I downloaded one of my favorite planners and started planning for the next school year. I gathered lists of reading materials I wanted Josiah to tackle this year (some I chose, some he chose), looked through some curriculum I already had and wanted to really dig into. And I planned. And planned. And planned. I haven’t had to worry about reinventing the wheel or making my own to fit my needs. This planner has it all.

The planner I’m talking about is the Big Mama planner from SchoolhouseTeachers.com. It literally comes with hundreds and hundreds of helpful editable pages. It comes in a PDF file so you can print off what you need or store on your computer or other mobile device. The Big Mama not only comes with tons of homeschool resources and planners, but also household forms and calendars.

In addition to the Big Mama Planner there are student planners. They are divided between Special Needs Learners, Primary Learners, Intermediate Learners and High School Learners. I am already starting to prepare one for Josiah. I think we both need to get on the planning train.

The planners are available for purchase from SchoolhouseTeachers.com and range in price from $9.95-$39.00. Or all subscribers to Schoolhouseteachers.com get them for FREE! You can subscribe for only $12.95 a month (your first month is only $3).  You can read my review of Schoolhouseteachers.com here. (Keep in mind that this review was sometime back. They were running a special and the prices have changed).

I’m all about this right now. And here is what I can do for you. I get to give away one Big Mama planner and a Student Planner (of your choice) to one of you. For Free!

All I need you to do is to tell me the name of your favorite book in the Rafflecopter below. If you are not a homeschooler, but know of somebody who would love one of these Planners send them on my way.
This Giveaway will be open all week!

  1. What is my favorite book of all time? Is this a trick question? Can I give you my favorite cookbook or my favorite fiction book? My favorite book of all time (for today) is The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. I could give you 15 or 20 "favorites", though.
